The Nursery is overseen by the Nursery Owner, Ankit Mathur, who is responsible for overall governance, quality, and the long-term development of the setting.
Day-to-day leadership and operational management are entrusted to our Nursery Manager, Aidan Gardner, a qualified primary school teacher, who brings strong educational knowledge and experience to the role. Aidan works closely with the wider team to maintain consistently high standards of care, learning, safeguarding, and practice across all areas of the nursery.
We are deeply mindful of the responsibility placed on us to care for and educate young children during their most important developmental years. This commitment is reflected in everything we do, from leadership and staffing to daily practice and communication with families.
Our staff team is highly committed to continuous professional development. This includes ongoing online training, targeted external courses, and regular staff and planning meetings. These opportunities ensure that practice remains reflective, up to date, and consistently focused on delivering high-quality care, learning, and wellbeing for every child.
Planning for children is detailed, purposeful, and individualised. Key persons develop tailored learning plans and maintain ongoing assessment records for each child. This structured approach is balanced with responsive “in the moment” teaching, ensuring that children’s interests, emotional needs, and developmental stages are always at the centre of practice. Curriculum planning is informed by termly and monthly themes developed collaboratively by staff, shared with parents, and fully resourced to support rich learning experiences. The quality of teaching and learning is a defining strength of the Nursery.
This framework is embedded within carefully designed weekly room rotas, which ensure the right staff are in the right place at the right time. These rotas coordinate all aspects of the day, including learning experiences, care routines, mealtimes, cleaning, and transitions, helping to create a calm, structured, and engaging environment where children can thrive.
We believe that strong relationships with families are at the heart of a happy and successful nursery experience. Through Famly, parents and carers can stay closely connected with their child’s day, receiving secure updates, photographs, and insights into their learning, development, achievements, and everyday experiences.
Famly also provides a simple and convenient way for us to share important nursery news, reminders, upcoming events, visits, parent meetings, and key dates. This helps create an open and collaborative partnership between home and nursery, ensuring families feel informed, involved, and part of their child’s journey with us.
As children move through the Nursery, transitions between rooms are planned with great care and sensitivity. We recognise the importance of continuity and emotional security, and we ensure that each transition is supported in a way that allows children and families to feel confident, settled, and fully supported at every stage of their journey with us.
